Jumpstart to Success: Level Up Online Learning Program, a proven blueprint for parents, teachers, coaches to use with students who have the ultimate goal of improving their overall results in grades and sports as well as paving a path to an exciting and brilliant future. This program was created in 2014 with 15 years of researching some of the most brilliant minds on the planet and consists of 6 PHASES that are all correlated with Casel’s 5 Social and Emotional Learning competencies. Within these 6 Phases (12 Lessons) you will learn how to use your STRENGTHS to achieve your goals and dreams, and begin to implement

Course overview

Jumpstart to Success is a course designed for the school market (JHS and HS levels) to be used as a Character Education Supplement using the Level Up Book).

Designed to provide a good foundation for students who may be wondering about their future and which direction to take. The course features the most recent brain research, neuroscience and success strategies that guarantee to skyrocket student achievement and results. You gain access to:

  • Structured, easy to understand content
  • Quick 2-3 minutes videos to Jumpstart each lesson
  • PDF lesson plans for teachers
  • Student check prior knowledge quizzes, activities and discussions.

You can progress through the course at your own pace, but I have put a suggested pacing guide next to each phase, if used during the school year.

PHASE 1: Get READY to THINK and PLAN your goals (August)

Preparing for the future is like getting ready to compete in an athletic event. You must look within to find out more about yourself before you can begin to focus on things going on around you.

PHASE 2: Engage Your Brain (September)

Get ready to learn how to use your brain wisely to take you to new heights with your goals and dreams.

PHASE 3: Mind in Gear (October)

When planning any new project, it is important to set reasonable goals. You also have to find the courage to take that first step toward reaching the goal. In doing so, you should also be responsible for the way you interact with others and the consequences of your actions.

PHASE 4: Start Moving (November)

When the plan is ready, jump in! Think about the ways in which you work best at accomplishing things. Use the skills that are best suited to reaching your goals. If you do your best thinking in the morning, plan your schedule around that timeframe.

PHASE 5: Dodge Life’s Obstacles (December)

Every road in life has a few bumps along the way. For teens, those bumps often include excessive criticism from parents, teachers, and coaches that may be hard to handle. Another type of road bump is peer pressure when friends tempt or push you to do things you don’t want to. Work on a strategy for dealing with obstacles like these that can get in the way of reaching your goals.

PHASE 6: You’re Doing It! (January)

Now that you know more about yourself and how to set reachable goals, it’s time to put it all together and get started. You have the skills that are needed or know where to find help.
